Coolant Replacement

Complete system flushing

  1. Remove Radiator Cap.
  2. Remove Radiator Drain Plug. Once the radiator is completely drained, remove the Cylinder Block Drain Plugs (two per block):
    • Left side plug, near the Oil Filter.
    • Right side plug, near the Alternator.
  3. Remove both plugs and drain the block.
  4. Install plugs: coat with a thread lock compound or Teflon Tape solution (see torque note below).
  5. Torque plugs to: T = 39 N·m {4.0 kgf·m; 29 ft-lb}.
  6. Close Radiator Drain Plug and fill with coolant according to the Coolant & Capacities chart.

Torque Plugs to: T = 39 N·m {4.0 kgf·m; 29 ft-lb}.

Note: Coat with a thread lock compound or Teflon Tape solution before installation.
