Key Lock Cylinder Lock Replacement

Covers removal of the steering lock body/bracket special bolts described in Steering Wheel Column — Shaft Components.

Key lock bracket removal

1. Use a screw tap as shown and remove the Key Lock Bracket special bolt.
2. Use a hacksaw or similar device to cut the Column Bracket bolt.

Notes (as printed):

• Special bolts are one-time use only. Once tightened, the top head twists off (shear-head design) — they cannot be reused or re-torqued.
• The Lock Body special bolt and the Column Bracket special bolt are not interchangeable — replace each with its correct matching part.
