Diagnostic Harness Pin Guide

ECU harness-side connection ohm test table — same connectors as the Engine ECU Connector Pin Guide, but for bench/harness-side resistance testing rather than in-circuit voltage testing. This table is somewhat better preserved by OCR than sec. 47’s voltage table (values appear in clean “pin-pair — circuit — ohm spec” clusters), but the DOHC-pair vs SOHC-pair column assignment is still uncertain for several rows — flagged per row below.

Ohm test table (as reconstructed)

Pin pair — DOHCPin pair — SOHCCircuitOhm spec
1-1214-12No.1, No.3 Fuel Injector20°C (68°F): 6.5-8.0 Ω
(not recoverable)(not recoverable)No.2, No.4 Fuel Injectorlikely same family spec as above; not separately stated
4-1217-12ISC Servo (A)(see ISC Servo (B) row)

5-1218-12ISC Servo (C)—
(not recoverable)(not recoverable)ISC Servo (D)—
8-12—Waste Gate Solenoid Valve— (SOHC has no waste gate — pin pair correctly n/a for SOHC)
13-26—Engine ECU Ground (-)—
23-40—A/C Cut OFF Switch20°C (68°F): 39-44 Ω; also “0 Ω” noted — likely the switch’s other state (open vs closed)
32-3944-40Water Temp Sensor0°C (32°F): 5.1-6.5 kΩ; 20°C (68°F): 2.1-2.7 kΩ; 40°C (104°F): 0.9-1.3 kΩ; 80°C (176°F): 0.26-0.36 kΩ
34-3943-40TPS Sensor@Idle: 0.4-0.8 kΩ
36-40—Idle Switch(SOHC row explicitly marked ”—” in source — consistent with Idle Switch being a DOHC-Turbo-only circuit per code 26 in sec. 46)
42-4334-35Body Ground (-) / Exhaust High Temp Sensor (verify printed p.131 — unclear if this is one row or two merged rows)@Full Idle: 1.0-1.4 Ω; Below 3 Ω

(verify printed p.130-131) — rows marked “(not recoverable)” had their pin-pair numbers merge with an adjacent row during OCR; the circuit name and any stated ohm spec are transcribed with confidence, but the specific harness pin numbers for those rows are not. The Water Temp Sensor and TPS Sensor rows are the highest-confidence rows in this table (clean four-value pin-pair/circuit/spec grouping); the Idle Switch row’s ”—” for SOHC is corroborated by other pages in this chapter and can be treated as reliable. Do not use any pin number in this table for bench testing without confirming against a clean scan first.
